ROSEVILLE, CA: Week 8 Power Rankings | Playoff Predictions

Week eight was revealing, but the playoffs tell all. I am looking forward to starting the post season and seeing who is left standing. Below are the power rankings and playoff predictions:

RANKED: 1 Syracuse 7-1

Syracuse has had a great season. I expect them to win easily over Pepperdine, and possibly win it all in the playoffs.

PREDICTION: Syracuse over Pepperdine by 12

RANKED: 2 Michigan 6-2

Michigan has played very well this season. Including last week when they knocked off the undefeated Syracuse. I anticipate them winning big over North Carolina.

PREDICTION: Michigan over North Carolina by 8

RANKED: 3 Gonzaga 5-3

Gonzaga pulled off a huge upset last week! It won’t be easy matching-up against Arizona, but I think they will pull it off this time.

PREDICTION: Gonzaga over Arizona by 3

RANKED: 4 Oregon 4-4

Oregon also made a huge jump after last week’s performance. They will have their hands full against Duke this week, but I think they upset again and move on to the second round.

PREDICTION: Oregon over Duke by 4

RANKED: 3 Duke 4-4

Despite Duke's star player and league MVP, John Pichon, I don’t think they can match up with Oregon.

PREDICTION: Oregon over Duke by 4

RANKED: 6 Arizona 3-5

Arizona has shown sparks of life this season, but I think Gonzaga ends it for them this week.

PREDICTION: Gonzaga over Arizona by 3

RANKED: 7 North Carolina 2-6

North Carolina also has a couple great players, but they haven’t shown that they can compete with the top teams. I think they are one and done.

PREDICTION: Michigan over North Carolina by 8

RANKED: 8 Pepperdine 1-7

Pepperdine, I think that’s a wrap. I see Syracuse running away with it.

PREDICTION: Syracuse over Pepperdine by 12
