ROSEVILLE, CA: Week 6 Power Rankings | Week 7 Predictions
Week six for Ultimate Hoops in Roseville, California is history, week seven is a mystery (unless you have an amazing Nastradamus like ability to predict the outcomes like I do), and Syracuse still remains undefeated.
With only two weeks left in the regular winter season, let’s look at the new power rankings after week six, and the predictions for the upcoming week seven games, tonight.
RANKED: 1 Syracuse 6-0
With a 6-0 record there is no question that Syracuse is top dog. They are the only undefeated squad remaining. With only two games left this season there is little-to-no time to dethrone the first place organization.
PREDICTION: Syracuse over Pepperdine by 14
RANKED: 2 Michigan 5-1
Prescott Johnson, Clarence Lee, Ben Douglas, and crew, picked up where they left off in week four. They are one of the top teams in the league. Although it may be closer than I predict, I expect them to beat Arizona tonight.
PREDICTION: Michigan over Arizona by 7
RANKED: 3 Duke 4-2
John Pichon, McCory Ledesky, Mark Randle and the rest of Duke continue to climb the expectation chart. They are still ranked third, but don’t be surprised if they win it all come playoff time. I anticipate a fairly easy win for Duke over Oregon.
PREDICTION: Duke over Oregon by 9
RANKED: 4 Arizona 2-4
Deon Robinson and Aaron Nichols have rejuvenated Arizona. Unfortunately for them they face Michigan tonight, I am not sure they are ready to battle with one of the top teams in the league yet.
PREDICTION: Michigan over Arizona by 7
RANKED: 5 Gonzaga 3-3
This may be the closest game of the evening, and I am not really sure about my prediction here, but I think Erik Thomas and Lavin Peets will pull it off. It will be a fun game to watch, but I have them squeaking by.
PREDICTION: Gonzaga over North Carolina by 2
RANKED: 6 North Carolina 1-5
Chris Collins and Austin Brewer are tough. This game against Gonzaga is going to be fun to watch. It’s really anybody’s guess tonight, but I have them losing by two in the last minute.
PREDICTION: Gonzaga over North Carolina by 2
RANKED: 7 Oregon 2-4
With the addition of Darius Wright (who actually played at the real Oregon), Oregon has gained some life, but I think it’s their ninth life. They don’t stand a chance against Duke tonight. Sorry guys.
PREDICTION: Duke over Oregon by 9
RANKED: 8 Pepperdine 1-5
Pepperdine, Pepperdine, Pepperdine. We love you guys. Syracuse wins in a blowout.
PREDICTION: Syracuse over Pepperdine by 14
