DALLAS, TX: Team Spotlight | The Downtown Hooperz have a fresh look

In their sixth season together as a team the Downtown Hooperz have added a few names to the roster as well as more wins to their record. Starting off 2016 strong with an overall record of 3-1 gives them as many wins as the past 3 seasons combined.


Ken Shelton has been the core of the Downtown Hoopers since their birth and with some new additions the team has a fresh look. With seasons upon seasons of despair Shelton has seen it all. This team has come from the cellar to the pinnacle of the Ultimate Hoops league. When asked last week about his squad Shelton said, "We are finally hitting our stride and finding ourselves". The excitement and buzz is definitely high within the Hooperz' camp.


Returning players including Justin Mozley and Jonathan Howard have maintained as the teams leading scorers. The fresh look gave them Jemarri Gunn and Lamont Bluitt on the wing and an athletic Alonzo Milo underneath to help lift them off on what looks to be their best season yet.
