ROSEVILLE, CA: Week 4 Power Rankings | Week 5 Predictions
Week 4 for Ultimate Hoops in Roseville, California shook up the league. Everyone has a win now. The competition was really good for the most part, and my predictions were pretty accurate, all things considered. Let’s look at the new power rankings after week 4, and the predictions for the upcoming week 5 games, tonight.
RANKED 1 Syracuse 4-0
Ryan Nakamura, Emanuel Maceira, Juston Willis, and team continue to look like the best in the league to me. Although, I think Herm may see Michigan as the top dog. The good news is, that debate ends when they square off tonight.
PREDICTION: Syracuse over Michigan by 5
RANKED 2 Michigan 4-0
Prescott Johnson, Clarence Lee, Ben Douglas, and crew are playing really well. I just don’t know if they can get by Syracuse tonight. It’s going to be a good game I’m sure. Tune in to see who takes it.
PREDICTION: Syracuse over Michigan by 5
RANKED 3 Duke 2-2
I have John Pichon, McCory Ledesky, Mark Randle and the rest of Duke ranked third. Up one spot over last week. They are playing really well as a team and could possibly make a late push if they continue on this path.
PREDICTION: Duke over Gonzaga by 3
RANKED 4 Gonzaga 2-2
Guard, Erik Thomas, and 6’8” Center, Lavin Peets, will always be a threat. Last week was tough for them though. They didn’t fair as well as I expected against Syracuse. I have them ranked 4th this week and losing to Duke.
PREDICTION: Duke over Gonzaga by 3
RANKED 5 Arizona 1-3
Deon Robinson and Aaron Nichols were dominant last week. They scored close to 60 points combined. Let’s see if they can continue that this week with a match up against Pepperdine.
PREDICTION: Arizona over Pepperdine by 4
RANKED 6 Pepperdine 1-3
You never know what you are going to get with Ralph Sanders, Jose Zaragoza, Edward Miller, and Todd Bryan. They have the talent. Can they work together and stop the offense of Arizona? We will see tonight.
PREDICTION: Arizona over Pepperdine by 4
RANKED 7 North Carolina 1-3
Austin Brewer, Chris Collins, Gabriel Hern, and team are deep, which is a good thing, because I don’t think Austin Brewer will be there again this week. I still think they can take Oregon. You never know who will show up ready to play on any given Monday. They will probably climb the rankings as the season continues.
PREDICTION: North Carolina over Oregon by 6
RANKED 8 Oregon 1-3
Last week was a tough week for Max Comerford, Jason Alfonso, Deon Taylor and the rest of Oregon. Let’s see if they can bounce back after a sizable defeat against Arizona.
