DALLAS, TX: Championship Review | Soldiers Take Home The Trophy

What a season it was. Fall season came to a close this past week and the Soldiers were able to take home the trophy.

The Soldiers breezed past both of their match ups in the final four. In the first game they were able to best Torch 87-65. Ike Akotaobi continued his stellar play by putting up 41 points and could not miss from deep. He finished going 6 for 8 from behind the line and was efficient as always. Team captain Paul Starr was a true floor general on the court with 7 assists to go with his 12 points. Kreston Martin poured in 34 points in the game but it was not enough to make the game competitive.

In the final game of the Fall season The Soldiers came up against The Backyard All-Stars. Led by their emotional leaders Nick Scrivens and Vincent Colson, Backyard All-Stars were able to keep it close early, but The Soldiers proved to be too much. Starr finished the season with maybe his best performance besting his previous game with 8 assists to go along with his 14 points. The final four MVP was earned by Ike Akotaobi who averaged just over 35 points a game in the final four.
