PHOENIX, AZ: Final Four Preview | Mark Hanoosh Eyeing Return for the Bulls

Bulls Star Guard Mark Hanoosh Eyeing a Return for Championship Week

The Bulls started the season 6-0 and were one of the league’s hottest teams. That was before disaster struck when Mark Hanoosh went down with a foot injury possibly ending his season. But Mark has now confirmed he is going to try and suit up for championship week. What does that mean for the Bulls title chances now?...

Final Four Preview

630PM (2) MONSTARS VS (3) BULLS: A healthy Mark would have made this game very interesting but with him coming off a pretty serious injury how much will he be able to contribute? He’s been in a cast for 3 weeks and will most likely be out of game shape. A major part of Mark’s game is his speed and his tireless motor to play the game at full speed. He was a very key part to the Bulls success because of his ability to push the ball and break down the defense. Tim House and Brandon Walker are 2 of the top shooters in the league and having Mark back at even 50% should open up a lot of things. However the Monstars destroyed the Bulls a few weeks ago and I still think they will come out on top even with Mark back in the lineup. Everyone knows Kenny Mahone can score but his ability to lock up anyone on the floor has been a main reason for their success. The only game the Monstars lost this season was when Kenny was out of the lineup but I guarantee you he will be in uniform for championship week. Francisco Ahumada has one of the best all around games in the league with his ability to score and create but Tyler Labrum and Matt Alvarado are 2 of the most underrated players in Tempe. Tyler’s rebounding and Matt’s shooting will continue to be key for the Monstars. Losing Quentin Lawrence for possibly the remainder of the season may hurt but I still think the Monstars will have enough firepower to make it work. The Bulls may have better guard play but I think the overall team balance of the Monstars will prevail next week.
PREDICTION: MONSTARS BY 4

730PM (1) HEAD BUSTAS VS (5) WHO’S NEXT: If my budget allowed it I would have hired a 3rd referee just for this game so I don’t have to hear Ryan Brown and Mark Price tell me how horrible our officials are all game. The Head Bustas might be the most explosive team in the league but the most explosive scorer in the league plays for the other team, which means anything can happen. I wouldn’t be surprised if Nick Tomsick put up 50 in this game. The Mark Price and Ryan Brown matchup will be very interesting to say the least, it will most likely come down to who can stay in the game longer with out getting tossed. Michael Purdie has been a game changer for the Head Bustas this season and is by far the most explosive athlete in league. If somehow Kris Hennen and Darrell Hunter can keep Michael out of the paint they might have a fighting chance. However I think the Head Bustas just have way too much firepower on the wings in Jesse McCain, Chris Davis and Archie Woulard. All three are capable of putting up big numbers and I’m not sure if Who’s Next will have enough depth to contain all 3. Its no secret Mark Price and Nick Tomsick will both need to have monster games for Who’s Next to have any chance in this game but I think it will come down to how Kris Hennen and Darrell Hunter plays. Kris does all the dirty work for this team, how many offensive rebounds and putbacks he gets in this game might just be the difference in winning and losing.
PREDICTION: HEAD BUSTAS BY 6
