MONTVALE, NJ: The Poor Get Poorer

Let’s be honest. We all knew Old School would beat the Ferrall Ballerz. We figured it wouldn’t be close. We expected some bad basketball, some hostility among teammates, and an overall disaster of a performance. But how often do expectations meet reality? Well, when you’re a derailing train, pretty often.

It was 69-40. Scott Ferrall knew his club would lose by 30. He was more than willing to share his negative thoughts about the performance and his team’s laughable chemistry.



So now what? Well, after last week’s rant on the sinking squad proved to be as true as can be, it’s time to sit back and see how much worse things can get. We know the Ballerz will be embarrassed next week by the Young Gelt Militia, so that’s a good start.

Speaking of YGM and embarrassments, the boys did it again. Team Randy may not have the high-profile pitiful-ness of the Ferrall Ballerz, but they should feel equally as hopeless after playing 5 on 4 for most of the game and failing to close it out in the end. Randy is now 0-5. It’s too bad they don’t play the Ballerz again this season.

Team Justin was routed by RUNt Wednesday night, but we can wait to put them in any kind of disaster category. They get a pass for playing Old School tough last week.

It would be great if we could just fast forward to an Old School-YGM championship game for all the marbles. Then again, there’s something to be said for the enjoyment that comes from watching other teams lose their marbles. The fun never ends…
