WOODSTOCK, GA: Week 6 Preview | Will You Accept The Challenge?

Mt. Brook Assisted Living vs. Tune Squad 7:30

This is my “Large Popcorn with Extra Butter" game of the night. These two teams do not like each other and rumor has it that Mt. Brook Assisted Living is scared to death to play Tune Squad. In week 1 contest, Micheal “Did He Do That” Corkrum went for 34pts/17rebs and is looking to continue were he left off. Tune Squad is currently on cloud 9 as they gave Killa Beez there first lost of the season as well as snapped their 12 game winning streak. I question that last win and feel that it was a fluke win? With the solid play of Corkrum, Edwards, and Taylor this team has a new Big 3, maybe? I am still not a believer though, I feel that Jacob “I Enjoy Flowers” Edwards lacks the aggression that he needs to lead this team to a championship. I also feel that Langston “You Need To Cut It” Barnes needs to step it up and his mediocre play of late is not going to cut it. Barnes is averaging 5pts/2.3rebs/0.3ast. if Tune Squad are going to win this championship they will need a better production out of Barnes.

With Mt. Brook Assisted Living they are currently on a 2 game winning streak. I tend to mention that those two wins are against the last place team in the league. This team could be much better than their record shows but if William “ The Hammer” York continues to not dominate the game, this team will not win the remainder of the season. York has some solid number and is producing but it’s not enough. The remainder of the season he needs to be averaging 20pts/20rebs a game. He is the only 6’8 player in the league and should dominate when he is on the court. My heart tells me that he can do this but the eye test is what matters. If Ray “Who Is This Guy” McDonald continues to produce on the court then this team is in good shape. McDonald is averaging 19.3 pts this season but the challenge is can you stop anybody? It doesn’t matter if you get 20pts if that person you are guarding gets 30.

Prediction: Tune Squad by 16

Killa Beez vs. Skyforce 8:30

This is my “What Else Is On TV” game of the night. Killa Beez is currently dominating the league right now and looks to continue tonight. Killa Beez can beat Skyforce with only 4 players if they wanted to and will more than likely use this game to work on set plays. I do not expect much out of this game and will be flipping the channels when this game is live. No disrespect to SkyForce but this team is no match to the defending champs. The only way to have a chance is to control the boards and keep the game close towards the end of the game. If Skyforce as a team work together and have a solid game plan of attacking Killa Beez then they have a slight chance. Let me stop lying they have no chance at all.

Prediction: Killa Beez by 40pts
