COMMERCE OPEN: Power Rankings | Dat Aint Fair Promises a perfect season

COMMERCE OPEN: Power Rankings Heading Into Week 8

Last week of the regular season and Dat Aint Fair runs away with the #1 ranking. Still plenty to be decided as the 4th playoff spot is still up in the air with 1 week left.

Power Rankings

1) Dat Aint Fair (7-0) – Another impressive win to add to the resum? beating the #2 ranked Running Rebels for a second time this season. A warm up game against Rock City almost ensures an 8-0 regular season for DAF, however, it will be a disappointment if this team does not pick up their 2nd consecutive championship. They are the overwhelming favorites heading into the playoffs.

2) Running Rebels (4-3) – A loss to #1 ranked Dat Aint Fair is not enough for me to drop the RR from the #2 spot. They are locked into a semi-final matchup with C4 next Thursday, a team they beat by 2 in the regular season, however, that was without C4’s top shooter, Jeff Jayson. The Rebels job in week 8 will be to play spoiler and knock Squad out of the playoffs.

3) C4 (5-2) – In week 7, C4 was able to clinch a playoff with a 82-78 win over Squad. Brandon Nafso had another monster game against Squad as he continues to lead the team in the absence of Jeff Jayson and Joseph Kassis. This team will go as far as their health and attendance in the playoffs will allow them to go. They have a chance in week 8 to knock Sons of Basketball out of the playoffs if they can win and Squad defeats the RR.

4) Sons of Basketball (3-4) – Sons of Basketball can clinch a playoff spot by defeating a depleted C4 squad in week 8, or they could choke, giving Squad an opening into the playoffs if they can get a W. I’m betting this veteran team finds a way to pull out the W and get into the playoffs.

5) Squad (2-5) – A lot needs to go right for Squad to get into the playoffs. Not only do they need to upset the #2 ranked Running Rebels, but they also need some help from C4. Squad would hold their own destiny if they wouldn’t have lost to C4 for a 2nd time in week 7. Squad players may be having nightmares about Brandon Nafso getting buckets for weeks to come.

6) Rock City (0-7) – SARCASM ALERT: I’m going to go out on a limb and say that playing Dat Aint Fair in week 8 is not the recipe for Rock City to pick up their first W. Sorry Rock City, better luck next session.
