AJAX, ON: When it rains it pours | Week 6 Recap
The trash talk increases every month and in week 6 a lot teams are starting to see where they place in the league.
Game 1: The 6ix vs The Jax
Game 2: Storm vs Monstars
Game 3: Rainmen vs The North
Game 4: Spartans vs Moose
Game 1
After a hard lost last week for The 6ix they came out this game on a quick run over the Jax. Players like Andrew Clark and Mark Otto stopped the run by playing hard defense and then offence. Andrew scored 19 points and Mark Otto finished with 10 points and 15 rebounds controlling the paint. The 6ix’s Anthony Irispen should that last week wasn’t a fluke scoring 29 points having 19 points in the first half. Anthony’s performance coupled with Jeron’s and Stefan’s contribution helped the 6ix seal this game away 46 -45
Game 2
The Monstars came out strong yet again this game doing what they did best scoring. Early in the first half Monstar’s Kevin Allen was thrown out the game due to double technical fouls and forced Monstars to only have 5 players. This didn’t stop their regular performance thanks to their leader Bejun Dela Cruz scoring his regular 25+ points. Fares Makaram had a good game with 14 points and Leon was the hustle player of the day getting many steals, rebounds and running the floor. The Storm had a frustrating game and only Dominick Philippe finished in double figures with 14 points. The Storm fell to Monstars 51 – 37.
Game 3
The third game of the night was also a one sided game. The newly improved Rainmen did what they always do moving the ball and making shots but this week they up it a notch. New player Justin Jarret came out banging scoring 20 points, grabbing 8 rebounds and 3 assists which really helped the Rainmen go on multiple runs over The North. The North played completely different from last week and had a lot of arguments between each other. Jawad Ahmad did have one of his best game however with 4 three pointers and 14 points. The Rainmen defeated The North in the highest scoring game yet 70 – 39.
Game 4
After a shocking bad game the week before The Moose came back in vengeance. Adam Ali was back this game and facilitated the game really well. The Moose really played as a team this game with almost all their starts scoring low double figures. They also got in the Spartans head a little bit missing their best Player Tyrell Atkins. King David Amoako had a career high with 15 points, but was the only one to score in the double figures. The Moose beat The Spartans 53 – 33.
