COMMERCE 17U: Predictions | Teams are looking for revenge from week 1

Armando Suleiman showing off that he works out prior to his game

Week 6 could bring a few upsets and teams looking for revenge from week 1 defeats. In our first set of rematches, look for some of the underdogs to put it all on the line in a push to make the playoffs.

5:00 p.m. – Young Ballers (2-3) vs. The Money Team (1-4)
Young Ballers won this matchup 81-75 in week 1 of the season behind 30 pt efforts from Tarik Saed and Armando Suleiman. I think The Money Team will make an adjustment defensively to make the other players on YB to beat them by putting all of their focus on the dynamic duo of Saed/Suleiman and pull off the upset. TMT had a huge advantage on the boards last matchup (38-24) and will do just enough to pull off the upset.

The Money Team 70 – Young Ballers 66

6:00 p.m. – Super Splash Bros (2-3) vs. Stroke City (4-1)
In week 1, Stroke City destroyed the Super Splash Bros 85-57. However, this was before Super Splash Bros picked up Jamar Mathews (30 ppg). While Jamar will help make this a much closer game, Stroke City still has the much stronger team leading the way in a very balanced attack. Stroke City pulls out a close one.

Stroke City 80 – Super Splash Bros 79

7:00 – Smash Bros (5-0) vs. Team Malik (1-4)
In a battle of first place v last place, Smash Bros will move to 6-0 this week against Team Malik who will be playing with some desperation to get out of the cellar. In week 1 Smash Bros won 7-54 with all 5 players scoring in double figures led by Anthony Denha. TM went a dismal 8-36 from 3 in the first meeting and will have to double that production if they are going to knock off the top team in the league.

Smash Bros 68 – Team Malik 55
