Bloomington, MN- The Celtics of Fridley's Ultimate Hoops League are back in a familiar spot. Minnesota Ultimate Hoops Recreational Division Champion. Led by Marcus Marshall's 32 points, seven rebounds and four steals, the Celtics defeated the Wizards of the Plymouth League to capture their franchise's fourth Recreational Division Championship. Garland Sanchez Jr also had an excellent game for the Celtics, finishing with 16 points and four rebounds. Noe Mendez also added 15 points. Michael Byrne led the Wizards with 19 points and 11 rebounds. The Celtics ruled the Recreational Division for nearly a year before they were upset by the Sphinx in the Winter Season Final Four. The Rebels- who are rumored to be returning for Summer Season- defeated the Sphinx in the Winter Season Championship game 62-47. The Celtics will now have their name etched on the hallowed virtual championship wall on uhlife.com. If the Celtics, Wizards and Rebels are all part of Summer Season, it could be one of the most dramatic seasons in UH history. The Recreational Division Summer Season 2011 is scheduled to tip-off next week in Plymouth, Bloomington South and Fridley.
