COMMERCE REC: Week 5 Predictions | Which teams will make it to the playoffs?

McKinsey Golfin squares up against Devante Pennyman

Going into week 5 of the season some team are in danger of not making the playoffs. These next few weeks should be real interesting to see who revamps their team and could they clinch a spot in the playoffs. Lets take a look at this weeks matchups.

Game #1: Sons of Basketball vs Runnin' Rebels - Sons are still looking to get their first win of the season. GM Darius Statum has been on record saying that he has cleaned house and will be bringing new players in the final week that players can be added. The Rebels are coming into this game with 1 win on the season. This game is a toss up, but we give the slight advantage to the Rebels since their team has been together for a few seasons and the chemistry is already there. Runnin’ Rebels 78 - Sons of Basketball - 71

Game #2: Weekend Warriors vs Shelby’s Finest - The Warriors are coming off their first win of the season by beating the winless Sons of Basketball. For the first time in 4 weeks, the Warriors actually looked like the team we all have seen before. They come into this week playing a veteran Shelby team. They are coming off a 21 point win against Hit Squad. GM McKinsey Golfin and his team have been looking forward to the game since the beginning of the season. With a motivated McKinsey and always feisty and hard to guard Vaughn Gray, Shelby wins this one 87 - 79.

Game #3: Hit Squad vs C4- This game is our game of the night. Hit Squad looks to get back to their winning ways after losing in blowout fashion last week. C4 has been dominant the entire season. GM Joseph Kassis added another sharp shooter to the team in Jason Rennie. He has helped stretch the floor even more as he shares the floor with Jeff Jayson. Hit Squad has to slow down one of the 2 shooters and take advantage of them if C4 is not making shots. With that being said, Hit Squad has trouble getting back on defense in transition and that might hurt them this game. C4 wins 89 - 77.
