COMMERCE 14U: 1st game in the books | Is Team Gino the team to beat?

We kicked off our prep league campaign this week and this season will be a good one! We have a few youngsters returning and looking to stay in shape and play with some friends competitively. Each team looks solid and has a chance to contend for this seasons title, but no team looked better than Team Gino in week 1.

Superstar Gino Bachi made his comeback to the prep league after taking a few seasons off and he picked up right where he left of completely destroying all competition. From the looks of it, no one player will be able to stop Gino all season. He has improved his outside shot this season too making him even more dangerous. He picked up sharp shooter Michael Dallo and the two together put on a shooting clinic as they combined for 12 threes in their onslaught of Team George. The two together combined for 66 points while Team George only scored 53 and a team.

We still a long season ahead of us its to early to have them as the favorites to win it, but I do believe they will be in contention for this seasons title. Each team is stacked with talent and the road to the championship wont be a walk in the park for any team. As the season progresses, we will see which teams are playoff caliber teams.
