WOODSTOCK, GA: Week 3 | The fall of Atlanta's greatest scorer

Taylor Patter is averaging under 10 ppg for the first time in his UH career?

With 4 teams this week having a bye The Killa Beez moved into a first place tie with No More Losses with another win against the Roswell Ballers. The Question going around in Woodstock is what is going on with Taylor Patterson? The Sharp shooter is only averaging a 10 points a game so far this summer. Is this the new Taylor or is he just playing his role?

Killa Beez vs Roswell Ballers 79-61

In their first matchup The Killa Beez won 90 to 67 and in this contest it was more of the same. They were led again by Carl Richburg who has had two very impressive games to start the season was averaging 24 points a game going into the contest. He had another solid game with 23 and led the team in shot attempts again.

The real story though is Taylor Patterson and his new role. Taylor was held under 10 points for the second time this season and has not taken over 8 shots in any of the first 3 games. To get a better understanding of those numbers you have to consider Taylor is the leading scorer in UH Atlanta history (#100 Nationwide) with 2,996 career points, has never averaged a season with less than 17 shots a game, and has only been held to under 10 points 4 time in the 103 career games he has played previous to this season.

If there is one thing everyone in this league has witnessed is that the guy can put the ball in the bucket. Those numbers proves that not very often can he be shut down. So the question this season are we watching a declining star, or one embracing a new rule to get back on the winning path?

All we know for now is that they are winning games and everything is all good between him and his teammates, but if history has taught us anything about Taylor we know they better keep winning. The second this team takes any movements south in the standings, I expect to see the Taylor that we all know. If not then maybe father time has caught up to another hooper. Either way right now it's looks like RIP to one of Atlanta's greatest scorers.
