COMMERCE REC: Who will be crowned | Championship game prediction

The championship game is upon us. The semi-finals saw 2 different types of games played that night that kept the crowd amazed. The Weekend Warriors did what they do best and kept the ball moving and hit shot after shot giving One Under no chance to win. As predicted they went on to win the game in a blowout fashion. In the game of the night that featured Sons Of Basketball versus Hit Squad, the game was everything we wanted, and more. The game literally came down to the final possession. With Sons Of Basketball trailing by 1 with 3 seconds to go, Darius Statum inbounded the ball to Toriano Adams AKA “TA”, who bobbled the ball at half court, then shot a fade away, that hit the back of the rim and rolled around, and then finally went in as the Sons of Basketball went on to win the game in dramatic fashion and kept their perfect record.

This championship game will feature the best ball moving team in the league in the Weekend Warriors, versus the undefeated Sons Of Basketball. These 2 teams met back in week 7, where the Sons won 79-75. In order for the Weekend Warriors to win this game they have to keep "TA" and Joel Simpson AKA "J-Dee" off the boards and keep their scoring low. The 2 of them combined for 49 points and 20 rebounds. The Warriors are a very smart team so I’m sure they have a game plan that will help them stay in the game and pull out the win at the end. As far as Sons of Basketball, they will have to score more than 60 points to win this game. We all know they have the ability to score at will when everything is going their way. In the semi-final win, "TA" scored 36 of the teams 60 points. I expect for Darius Statum and David Mcnally to have better offensive games to help take some of the burden off of their big men.

With all that said, both teams have overcome obstacles all season long and deserve to be in this championship game. So to keep things going with last weeks prediction of whoever won the game between Sons of Basketball and Hit Squad will ultimately win the championship, here’s my prediction!
