COMMERCE REC: Playoff Time | Who Will Upset Who

With the playoffs right around the corner, you cant help but love this time of the season. This is where under dogs can make a name for themselves and the top teams to continue to show why they are elite. There are 4 games on tap for the first round of the playoffs on Thursday night, here is a quick run down.

GAME 1 - C4 vs. One Under: In the first game we have the battle tested veterans C4 versus the scrappy and rugged One Under squad. These 2 teams met twice during the regular season with C4 coming out on top both times. They say 3 times a charm, but when playoff time comes C4 is a different animal, and are on a totally different planet when winning time comes around.

Prediction: C4- 96 One Under- 85

GAME 2 - Sons Of Basketball vs. Team Julio: There isn’t much that can really be said about this game except for how many points will Sons of Basketball score. In week 4 of the season Team Julio lost by 50 points. Team Julio plays hard every night, but in this game they are just completely out matched.

Prediction: SOB- 105 Team Julio- 72

GAME 3 - Weekend Warriors vs. Runnin’ Rebels: One thing I can tell you for sure about this game is that we will see a ton of 3’s going up. Both teams are high powered on the offensive end and can score with any team in the league. The biggest question is who will get timely stops and make the big shot? The Rebels are the defending champions, but for them to play the Warriors this will be a tall task for them. Julius Barnett will have to have the best game of the season Thursday night in order for them to win.

Prediction: Weekend Warriors- 92 Runnin’ Rebels- 86

GAME 4 - Hit Squad vs. Blue Ballerz: This game will be very interesting. In week 5 these 2 teams met and the Ballerz came out on top by 23 points. Grant it Hit Squad did not have a full team at the game nor were they 100% healthy. A lot of trash talk has gone back and forth between the 2 teams, and Hit Squad went on record saying, “we want to play them in the 1st round and we will beat them.” They sound like a team on a mission not only to beat this team but make their way to the championship and win their 2nd title.

Prediction: Hit Squad- 91 Blue Ballerz- 80
