ATLANTA, GA: Atlanta OPEN Championship | Enough Said vs. The Spartans to Crown the First Atlanta OPEN Champion
Ant Brown needs to lead the way tonight for Enough Said.
The two champions from last season have found their way back to the championship game, but this year it will crown the top team in Atlanta and not just their club. The Spartans have played tough all year, but haven't started playing quality basketball until the playoffs. Enough Said has continued their dominance all season and they have already beaten the Spartans 3 times this season. Their last game went to overtime and we should expect nothing less a big time battle on our hands.
#1 Enough Said vs. #6 The Spartans 7:30PM
After last season, we all wanted to know what would have happened if the champions from our leagues got a chance to face off. This year we have brought together all the clubs for the playoffs and we are left with that exact dream matchup. These teams have faced off a few times in the season with Enough Said coming out on top in all of their match ups, but The Spartans have yet to play at full strength.
So far in the tournament the Spartans have got by without some of their best players. They have been led so far by the play of Chadam Cole and Marcus Sims. Tonight they will have all 7 of their players available for the game and they will match up very well against Enough Said. Our top 2 MVP candidates, Marcus Brown and Tion Watkins, will be matched up all night. Both players are big time scorers, but so far Brown has been the more consistent player all season. The other big matchup will be Ant Brown vs. Adalius Thomas. AD may be the only guy in all of our leagues that is strong enough to handle Anthony Brown inside. If he can help contain Ant Brown on defense, he should put the Spartans in a great situation.
Trying to predict this game is almost impossible. It's very hard to beat a team 4 times in a season. Every game The Spartans have gotten better and a little bit closer. I know both of these teams have a ton of pride and want to win this game to take home bragging rights to their club. If Enough Said plays together and moves the ball, they can easily win this game, but if the Spartans play the same way they have all playoffs it's tough to count them out.
Prediction: Toss Up!
