SUGARLOAF, GA: Week 7 Power Rankings | A Changing of the Guard?

Prime Time is loaded up and ready for the playoffs.

The Prime Time Playaz seemed to have found the kryptonite for Team Duke. With last week upset win, the Prime Time Playaz have moved up in the Power Rankings. Is this the start of Team Duke's slide or did last week loss wake up the beast?

1. Team Duke (5-1)
Even though they lost by 20 points, I still believe that this team is the team to beat. They have Steve “Country Strong” Morant as well as Marquis Babb, who seem to work well together on the court. This loss may have been what this team needed to get back to reality show the rest of the league who is really the boss.

2. Prime Time Playaz (4-2)
Moving up two spots, this team is playing unbelievable basketball. They are showing there true character by knocking off the top seeded team in last week's win. With the added addition of Derick Pope, look for this team to make a deep run in the playoffs. The rest of the league should keep a close eye on these group of guys. They are loaded right now and the only thing we don't know is if they can find the chemistry needed for a championship run.

3. Team USA (4-2)
Down one spot from last week rankings. This team is only a few missed shots away from being a low seeded team. They will go as far as Devon “You Better Guard Me” Scott will take them, which is still remains to be seen. The midseason trades really hurt Team USA and I predict they will continue to slide down the rankings.

4. Team Spartans(4-2)
Yes they are the defending champs and yes they are on a wining streak, but I can not put them above 4th in the rankings. This team is undersized and for them to get back to championship form they will need a major production out of Marcus “Lob City” Sims and Brett Abraham. I hate to count to the defending champs out but the competition at the top has improved since last season.

5. RainMakers (1-5)
This team needs to play with a sense of urgency in order to compete with the rest of the league. It all starts on the defensive of end of the court. Switch up your defensive of assignments, in fact go 2-3 zone, 3-2 zone, or even 1-3-1 zone to see how it works. At this point anything but man to man will work in my eyes.

6. Free Agents (0-6)
At this point of the season this team needs to hope for the number 1 pick in next year's draft. The chemistry is not there and it seems that everyone is playing isolation ball. The Free Agents have checked out for the season and they are lucky to get 5 guys to even show up.
