COMMERCE, MI PREP 14U: Who Will Capture The MVP Crown
Kevin Bahri Playing Defense On Sonny Asker
With two weeks left in the regular season in our Prep 14U League, the top players from each team have showcased their talents and made a name for themselves. This season we have seen a far share of veterans dominate, while also seeing many rookies show they belong and can compete or seasons to come. Although the main objective for any player is to win championships, individual accolades show exactly what kind of role you play in your teams’ success. With that being said, here's the top candidates for this seasons MVP award.
Sonny Asker (Sonny Dunez) - Big fella Sonny has been unstoppable this season so far and is my frontrunner for this seasons MVP honors. He has been putting up killer stat lines each game and has his team sitting in first place on the season. He is averaging 28 points and grabbing 15 boards a game. With Sonny putting up stellar performances like this each game it Will be hard for any other player to catch him for the MVP Award.
Gero Kayayan (Shift Team) - This guard been spectacular so far in this season. This guard is arguably one of the best shooters in the league and no defender can take one possession off when checking him. He's is shooting a sizzling 51% from the field this season. He abuses each opponent that guards him. He can light you up from three or he can take you the basket. He's been a nightmare for opposing teams.
Julian Essak (The Money Team) - Julian is the reason for the early success for his team this season. He has a silky smooth jump shot and he can handle the ball to create his own shot. Julian will definitely be a threat for opposing defenses this season and seasons to come. He's averaging a stellar 30 points a game while also grabbing 12 boards.
