COMMERCE, MI REC: A Different Champion Will Be Crowned Again

For the 3rd consecutive season there will be a new champion in Ultimate Hoops Commerce.

The defending champions C4 was knocked off in OT by 2 points 90-88 by the Running Rebels. The Running Rebels were led by Julius Barnett and Tauron Bennett. They combined for 49 points and shot a combined 51%. Next up for the Rebels are the Weekend Warriors. The Warriors are making their 2nd consecutive appearance in the semi finals. Maybe this is their year to get that preverbal monkey off their back and make it to a championship game.

Prediction: Running Rebels 86 - Weekend Warriors: 81

Toriano Adams and the Sons of Basketball escaped last week against the Young Guns by 7 points, and putting them in the Final Four. Adams had 33 points and 11 rebounds in the quarter finals as he kept his team from being upset by the 8 seed. Hopefully the Sons of Basketball have a better week in the Semi Finals versus a very hungry One Under team who defeated Hit Squad by 5 points. Another great defensive effort will be needed from One Under if they plan on winning this game. They must keep limit the Sons of Basketball to at least 1 shot per possession and knock down open shots when they get them.
