COMMERCE, MI PREP 14U: Can Team Angelo Go Undefeated
Julian Essak's Jersey Hanging Before His Game
An undefeated season is a big deal in our 14 and Under Prep league. The teams are so evenly matched as far as talent is concerned that each team has to have something different in order to win. No team has ever finished the season undefeated and went on to win the championship ever, but Team Angelo has plans to change that this season as they take a page out of the Kentucky Wildcats book on their on pursuit of perfection.
Similar to the Wildcats, Team Angelo came into the season as the favorites to win it all and they have yet to disappoint. The target has been on their backs all season, but have found ways to win down the stretch each game. They have been the best team on both ends of the floor all season. Their ability to shut down opposing teams best player has played a vital role in their success this season. With so many options of the offensive end its hard to stop them all. With Sharp shooters Julian Essak, Angelo Suleiman, and Maxwell Hairston able to get to the basket at will forces multiple matchup problems for their opponents.
With one regular season game remaining we all expect them to finish the season perfect, but what will happen come playoff time? Upsets can happen at any level in basketball I'm sure each team gearing up to possibly knock them off. We don't call it March Madness for nothing. Will they continue down the road of perfection with Kentucky or will they fall short? Only time will tell.
