SHELBY REC: Keep On Rolling | ALL Or Nothing Improve to 4-1 | Walk-Ons Lose Third Straight




Week 5 is in the books and to start of the night, the undefeated House of Skillz faced off against the win-less Monstars. The Monstars, didn’t let this one go easy, they were playing toe, to toe, against Skillz only down four at the end of the half. Skillz then came out the gates running, outscoring Monstars, 51 to 23. Adam Kaminski was stellar once again, with 32 points, 11 rebounds, and also 4 steals to go along his great night. Nicco Genova, also contributed with 19 points, 10 rebounds, and 7 assists. House of Skillz now improves to 5-0 of the season.

Performance Fiber Glass took care of business again this week. Walk-Ons, have been in a slump, losing three straight games. It has not been easy for this young squad, falling to 2-3 so far this season. Bill Treece led Performance with 30 points and 9 rebounds. Marcus Anderson has been solid still, 14 points, 12 rebounds, and 6 block shots. Mckinsey Golfin also chimed in with 25 points, and grabbing 15 rebounds. Performance dominated Walk-Ons on the glass out rebounding those 46 to 27. Walk-Ons will need to adjust, and figure out what’s going on, and how to get out of this 3 game losing skid, but in the meantime, Performance improves to 4-1 and the defending champions, are looking real good.

Bad Intentions and All or Nothing faced off, with Bad Intentions, looking to get a win after losing 3 straight. Bad Intentions were trying to hang around as much as they can, battling hard against All or Nothing, but late in the second half, All Or nothing started to pull away from Bad Intentions. It was the Doggett brothers leading the team. Jawuan Doggett, had another great game, with 22 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 seals and 2 blocks. His brother Jerome Doggett also played great, with 20 points, 6 rebounds and couple of steals. All or Nothing has been playing great so far this season, and now have improved to 4-1 of the season.

FINAL


Final game of the night featured Y-Lie and Mountain Moon Shooters. Y-Lie desperately need of a win coming into this game and Mountain Moon Shooters, trying to build of their two game win streak. It was a close game throughout, Mountain Moon Shooters at one point were up by 10, Bruno Kalaj led the team with 23 points, and 10 rebounds. Robert Berishaj also had a solid performance with 20 points going 8-12 from the field. Y-Lie’s experience overcame the deficit, and took the lead in the final two minutes. Johnnie Brown was sensational, 26 points, 11 rebounds, 2 steals and 2 blocks. He also was able to get to the foul line as well, putting Mountain Moon Shooters to the test on defending him. Dominic Dunlap also contributed with 20 points. Y-Lie get a much needed win, to get into a playoff spot.
