Running Rebels During A Timeout
Coming into this season there was a ton of hype with new faces and new teams everywhere. So new teams good, and the others well not so good. Then we have the new players, which some have kind of lived up to the hype and the others probably should not be in this league. But this is Ultimate Hoops…NEVER RETIRE. There is one team we want to look at that drew a lot of attention on opening night, and that’s the Running Rebels. Is this team real or not?
Opening night was three weeks ago and during warm ups, the Running Rebels looked like they were about to own the league. Their team hit the layup line with a full 11-man roster. Three weeks later they have about 8 players. They went from one of the biggest teams in the league to now a very guard heavy team with a record of 1-2. Julius Barnett has led the team. The high volume shooter got some help last week when Tauron Bennett made his first appearance with the team. Now the question is, will he be enough to make this team a contender?
Fact or fiction?? Can the Running Rebels be a legit title contender and win the whole thing? The answer is…stay tuned for the rest of the season!
