Bloomington, MN- Leading into Wednesday night's UH games across the country, the NBA's Dirk Nowitzki's 48 point performance in the Mavericks Game 1 win over the Thunder on Tuesday night was considered the top basketball performance so far this week. That all changed Wednesday night at the Bloomington South Recreational Division games when Bobcats guard Derek Batiste went off for 62 points in a 112-60 blowout win against the Wolfpack. Batiste's 62 points was one shy of the Bloomington South Recreational Division Single-Game Scoring Record of 63 points held by former UH player Johnny Webb. The four-season UH veteran Batiste was 22-of-39 from the field and an incredible 18-of-30 from behind the arc. With the 62 point outburst, Batiste is now 2nd in the league in scoring this season at 25.8 ppg, trailing the Timberpuppies Michael Bryne who is averaging 30.3 ppg. UH ASKS: Which performance this week do you think was more impressive- Batiste or Nowitzki?
