SHELBY VET: Mckinsey Golfin's Solid Peformance Lifts Pistons Over Bulls | Lakers Win Big

`Week 2 is in the books, Lakers squared off with Crusaders in our first match-up. Lakers answered back strong, after a terrible performance last week, they regrouped during the week, and came out pretty solid shooting the ball well .54 percent from the field. Cory Hansen was great for the Lakers, with 21 points, 10 boards, 3 steals and a block. Lakers moved the ball very well, and got everyone going. Lawrence Binekkowski, Todd Luceck, Tony Muscat, Jeff Manoski, also scored more than 15 points. It might have been contagious but what happen to the Lakers last week, seemed like it was caught by the Crusaders. Crusaders, shot poorly, .34 percent from the field, just couldn’t get a comfortable rhythm, as Lakers cruise past them to get their first win this season.

Bulls and Pistons was our game of the week. A close competitive game throughout, Marcas Anderson still impresses me, after another solid performance for the Bulls with 19 points, 7 rebounds, a steal and block. Jeff Wertz contributed with 22 points and 8 assists, but the Bulls couldn’t manage to get the game tied towards the end. Down by three with under two minutes, having couple chances to tie it and maybe send it to overtime, but couldn’t knock it down. Bill Treece, led the Pistons in scoring, he had 27 points but it was Mckinsey Golfin who was stellar. He had 16 points, 10 rebounds, 9 assists, and 3 steals, as he almost came up with a triple double. Pistons hold off the Bulls to get their first win of the season.

Hawks started their season today, and it seem like it has been a while for these guys, didn’t look solid all game, couldn’t establish a rhythm offensively. Transition defense wasn’t good, and defensively sometimes, looked lost on the court. Shane de’ Nooijer had a nice performance for Hawks, with 17 points 8 rebounds and 7 assists. The story of the game though, were the Nets. Vaughn Gray recorded a triple-double this evening, 11 points, 12 assists and 10 boards. Not to mention 3 steals and 3 blocks to go with that. Michael Harrington was hot today, 8-11 from the three overall shooting .73 percent from the field. He came up with 30 points today as the Nets rolled past the Hawks to spoil their season opener.
