FRIDLEY: Greenhorns exorcise Red Devils 73-42 to move to 2-0 | Wiskus scores 40
Are the Greenhorns ready to make the leap this season?
Fridley, MN- In their four previous season in Ultimate Hoops Fridley, the Greenhorns have never finished a season with a winning record.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is not your mother's Greenhorns team anymore.
Led by guard Michael Hammel [14.0 ppg, 10.0 rpg] who may be having a breakout season, the Greenhorns are out to a 2-0 start this Spring Season. On Thursday night, they stuck it to the Red Devils 73-42 with balanced scoring and tough defense, holding the Red Devils to 27% shooting from the field. Noah Gagner had a solid all-around game, finishing with a 14.3 PPR after scoring nine points and pulling down eight rebounds.
Are the Greenhorns for real this season? Or will they slide back below .500 before the regular season ends in June?
