SHELBY VET: Double or Nothing

A crazy Saturday morning, that started off with a tie breaker between the Bulls and Nets to face the Lakers after in the playoffs. It was a shooting frenzy for the Nets as they pulled an upset defeating the Bulls. Vaughn Gray had 34 points, and 6 assists, and Dequan Wilson chiming in 24 points. The Nets were on fire, hitting .74 percent of their shots against a good defensive team. They pulled away in the second half scoring 50 points.

After the nets defeated the Bulls, they were back at it again, playing against the Lakers, another tough team. Fatigue was a factor for the Nets. Vaughn Gray put up another great back to back game, with 31 points, but the real star was Irvin McCallister who came alive in the final minutes to take the lead and secure a victory for the Nets. He had 5 blocked shots, and put in 16 points with his strong defensive performance in the paint. It is a true underdog story, after seasons and seasons of disappointment for the Nets, they have come alive and are heading to the championship game, waiting to see if they will play Pistons or Already home as those two teams will play a double header next weekend.
