COMMERCE, MI PREP: Will There Be An Upset

The playoff match-ups are set after the last week of regular season games and the teams are ready for their run at the championship. Some last minute surprises jumbled up the seeding, but now the preparations begin and the scouting reports are complete. Each match-up has its own flavor to it and should be exciting. The match-ups are as follows:


#1 Team Jacob vs. Team Billy


This match-up has the most intrigue to it. On the surface you see that these teams played twice in the regular season and they are tied one game apiece. Both games were close until the last few minutes of the second half where Team Billy consistently showed its youth and immaturity with turnovers and terrible shot selection. If they can somehow learn to compose themselves by Tuesday night they can give Team Jacob a run for their money. Team Jacob on the other hand feels like they are hitting their stride. Their chemistry has gotten healthy at the right time and Captain Jacob Haio wants to get back the title, which he thinks is rightfully his.

Prediction: Team Jacob 69 – Team Billy 63


#2 Team Nick vs. Team Rami


This match-up has the makings of an upset. Team Rami is one of the few teams who can match Team Nick’s speed and Size, but they have been unable to put their size and chemistry together to win games. With GM Rami Shamo being unstoppable going to the paint, this team always has an opportunity to win the game. If they can dominate down in the post, the upset can happen. Team Nick is a title tested perennial contender who is on a mission after last seasons early playoff exit.

Prediction: Team Nick 65 – Team Rami 64


The playoffs will be intense and more then one team has the talent and ability to win a title, but who will put it all together when they need to? These playoffs will be a test of composure and execution. Which team is ready?
