COMMERCE, MI REC: Which Teams Will Make It Past The First Round

Devante Pennyman, Jordan Jefferson, And Xavier Lang Ready For The Playoffs

Well it's finally here, playoff time! All teams records are wiped clean and nothing you've done up to this point matters now. It's win or go home! With most of our teams so evenly matched this seasons playoffs should be one to remember. Here's how I predict this weeks quarterfinals to pan out.

#1 C4 vs #8 Snipers

Do I dare say upset alert? The Snipers are a very ball hungry team lead by Chris Mills and David Jackson and when these two get going there are hard to stop. They will have their handful trying to contain the Nafso brothers. C4 has won the last four championships and dismantled them in their regular season matchup. Can the Snipers correct their mistakes and knock of the defending champs?

Prediction: C4 90 - Snipers 84

#2 Rent-A-Bounce vs. #7 Dat Ain't Fair

Rent-a-bounce has been one of the tops teams this season due to the play of Jenero Dawood. Unfortunately, Jenero has taken his talents back overseas to continue his professional career. Without him on the floor it seems Tim Acho has taken over the reigns and has kept his team in contention. But with the backcourt duo of Jarrod Rice and McKinsey Golfin seeming to finally be getting in a groove together, it could be an early exit for Rent-a-bounce.

Prediction: Rent-a-bounce 91 - Dat ain't fair 96

#3 One Under vs #6 Weekend Warriors

This is in my eyes the best first round matchup. This two teams are so evenly matched, but play two different styles of basketball. With players going back to school and players hurt, Desmond Sain has made it his personal responsibility to make sure his team wins. One Under was able to sneak away with a win in their one regular season matchup as the Weekend Warriors were missing their leading scorer, Ryan Bahmiller. Both teams will be at full strength come next and this game is up for grabs.

Prediction: One Under 91 - Weekend Warriors 93

#4 Elite Hit Squad vs #5 Sons of Basketball

Elite Hit Squad met their demise to Sons of basketball in last seasons playoffs and recently lost to them in the final regular season game. They have gone from one of the favorites to win to now on upset alert. Sons of basketball have been a team on the rise this season. The addition of Joel Simpson has worked wonders for this team as they are able to work fed him anytime they need a quick basket. Hit squad are coming into this game as the underdog and will figure out how to contain them or it will be another short season for them.

Prediction Sons of Basketball 88 - Hit Squad 85
