COMMERCE, MI REC: A New Title Contender

A new team has formed this season and they are trying to take over. Players have been recruited to this monster team from other teams in the past. Week by week, One Under has become one of the teams to watch out for this summer. With only a few games left in the regular season, One Under has signed free agent sharp shooter Cedrick Bird. Is he the missing piece to put them over the top and dethrone the 4 time champions C4?

With that said, One Under is set to take on the defending Champions C4 in our game of the week. Both teams are coming off victories and they both share a record of 4-1. One Under is led by swingman Desmond Sain and forward Tim Thompson. This team seems to be headed in the right direction, and poised for making a run at a championship in their first season in the league. That is something that has not been done before in UH history.

Offensively this team can be very explosive at times, and it can be shaky sometimes too when the ball stops moving and they start to play isolation basketball. On defense they don’t have one person who shut anybody down but their team defense is great, being anchored by center Brian Mills. If this team has any hopes of winning the title this season they will have to bring their “A” game Thursday night.

One Under can’t play like they did when they lost to another title contending team in Rent-A-Bounce in week 3 88-70. C4 is battle tested and has seen everything but the kitchen sink throw at them, and they will also have their sharp shooter Jeff Jayson back in the lineup this week. We will see if One Under can play a consistent game and take control of the #1 spot in the standings.
