MINNESOTA: Spring Season is off and running for Open Division | Breedlove scores 25 in return

#19 on the All-Time Scoring List, Jason Breedlove (with ball) returned to the UH court last night

Bloomington South, MN- In Ultimate Hoops, there is no rest for the weary.

Less than a week after Target Center's Abe Froman team shocked the world with their upset Winter Season championship win over Bloomington South's Rockets, teams were back in action on Tuesday for Week 1 of Spring Season 2011.

The Rockets had no hangover effect from their championship loss last week as they went back to business, knocking off TNT 74-70 to start their new season 1-0. Neal Anderson led the Rockets with 19 points.

The Titans also started the season 1-0 with a convincing 79-60 win over the new Minotaurs franchise. The game was secondary as all eyes were focused on the return of UH legend Jason Breedlove to the UH court. Breedlove did not disappoint, finishing with 25 points and 10 rebounds in the loss. Breedlove currently sits at #19 on the All-Time Open Division Career Scoring List with 1,345 points.

The early season favorite to win it all could be Rip City. Led by the Olafeso twins Kenny and Peter who had a combined 59 points, they destroyed UH Classics 88-60.

Team Fridley- who moved from the Target Center to Bloomington South this season- were big opening night winners over Showtime 104-83. Team Fridley were led by superstar guard Paris Kyles who scored a game-high 30 points.
