COMMERCE, MI 14U: The Gino Show

This season we feature our new "14 and under" league. Through the first three weeks our youngest have shown they have skills and are ready to compete for a championship. While there's no clear cut favorite, one team has emerged as a sure finalist. That team is Team Gino.

Team Gino has been dominate over the past few weeks, but how could they not be with Gino Bachi running the show. They are the only team that is undefeated. Gino is head and shoulders above everyone else in the league. He's a one man fast break waiting to happen. As soon as he grabs a defensive rebound he's off to the races, pushing it down the defenses throat scoring on the majority of his possessions.

In his first game Gino almost out scored his opponents by himself. He finished the game with 43 points while his opponents entire team finished with 44. With veteran Matthew Manni coaching Team Gino he has them playing some impressive basketball so far this season, as he emphasizes the importance of defense to them game in and game out.

We will see in the next few weeks if they can stay hot as they take on a couple of the top tier teams in their next couple games.
