COMMERCE, MI REC: Farwell To One Of Our Own

Wishing Temofe Anyameluna Good Luck On His New Journey

Basketball is more than just a game. Season in and season out teams fight together to win a championship, but it goes further than that. Its about trusting your teammates and becoming closer to them. Building that relationship isn't easy, but being this "Band Of Brothers" is something amazing. On the court you have a new family and no one leaves anyone behind. We understand that things come up and we might lose someone for a season or two, but eventually we will see them again. Unfortunately, life takes us a new journey here and there and it hurts to see one of our own go. So here at Ultimate Hoops Detroit feel it's appropriate to send a farewell and best wishes to one of the greatest defenders are league has ever seen, as he embarks on a new life journey in Africa.

Temofe Anyameluna was not just a tenacious defender. He was also an explosive guard who attacks the rim with reckless abandon. Temofe is one of those players that every team dreams of having because he is the player who takes shutting down the opponents best player serious and doesn't care how many points he scores as long as his team gets the victory. He shows up for every game dressed and ready to go and always on time. His work ethic is something no one can compare too. His love and passion for the game goes further than anyone can imagine. Whether his team is up 20 or down 20, his level of intensity would not drop, which is why he led his team Elite Hit Squad to the playoffs season after season.

Through his 51 game career Temofe has averaged 12.7 ppg, 5.3 rebounds, 4.2 assist, and 2.1 steals per game. Some might say that these stats are not much, but they clearly don't know. His presence was enough on the court which made teams annoyed to play. Temofe is the type of defender that guarded the best player of the opposing team the whole way and did not take a minute off.

Since joining Ultimate Hoops Temofe has left his mark in each game he had played in by leaving everything on the court. With that being said from everyone here at Ultimate Hoops Detroit would like to wish him the best of luck in Africa, as he continues to excel as a basketball player and furthers his studies. It's not goodbye, it's we will see you later. Good Luck Mofe!!!
