NATIONAL TOURNAMENT: Arizona Heat Team Preview

The Bulls of Tempe, Arizona are ranked #1 in the Nation according to UHLife.com. It’s only fitting that they represent AZ in the National Tournament this weekend as The Arizona Heat…

The Arizona Heat will no doubt be one of the most closely watched teams in the tourney due to their national ranking but with only 6 of their players making the trip to Vegas will they have enough firepower to withstand some of the top teams in the country?

Lets take a look at their roster…

Mark Hanoosh: Guard 6-0 150
He’s by far the fastest and quickest guard in Tempe, good luck trying to stay in front of him this weekend. Mark can get to the basket at will and can beat you in a variety of ways. He already has a 48-point game under his belt this season and is leading the league in assist at 8.2 per game.

Brandon Walker: Shooting Guard 6-1 210
Don’t let him get hot or it’s going to be a long day. Brandon is one of the top 3-point shooters in Tempe. Just last week he hit 8 bombs in one game and is currently ranked #2 in the league in 3 point makes per game.

Donald Didlake: Point Guard 6-0 185
Donald is a Vegas veteran and will no doubt be one of the leaders for this team. He’s been on this stage before and knows what it’s going to take to win. Donald is a very crafty playmaker and scorer; he’s currently averaging 19.7 points per game.

Marcus Atkins: Forward 6-2 180
Marcus does it all; he’s a stat stuffer. He goes all out every play and plays with a lot of energy. He’s one of the most athletic players in Tempe and will be the perfect complement to the team’s all-star backcourt. His game reminds me of the Matrix aka Shawn Marion of the Dallas Mavericks.

Jeremiah Nelson: Forward 6-2 205
Jeremiah is the team captain and the glue guy for this team. He’s their lockdown defender and will do whatever it takes to get a W for his team. Jeremiah is one of the most underrated players in Tempe but he’s been a huge part of the Bulls’ success because of all the things he does for his team.

Josh Hunter: Center 6-5 205
Josh will be manning the middle for the Heat. He’s a very skilled big man with excellent moves down low. He’s also a very good rebounder and shot blocker. However he’s the only big man the team has and will need to stay out of foul trouble if this team plans to get anywhere in the tournament.
