Tourney MVP Neal Anderson leads Minnesota's Rockets to Midwest Regional Title

The Midwest Regional Champion Rockets representing Bloomington South MN

Minneapolis, MN- Is Neal Anderson the greatest player in Ultimate Hoops history?

That was the question lingering in the air as fans exited the Life Time Fitness Target Center on Sunday night after Anderson led the Rockets to the Midwest Regional Tournament championship.

The Rockets defeated their Minnesota rivals the Titans in the championship game 97-64 [box score] to take the first ever Midwest Regional title. Anderson led the Rockets with 22 points including 6-of-10 from behind the 3-point line.

Center Chad Cramble also had an excellent game, finishing with 18 points and nine rebounds.

The Titans were led by Hans Albrecht who had a game-high 23 points.

In addition to adding a Midwest Regional Tournament Championship to his UH resume, Anderson [image below] was also named the Muscle Milk Tournament MVP. Combining this weekend's accomplishments with his multiple Ultimate Hoops League championships and individual awards, Anderson could be considered the greatest player in Ultimate Hoops history.

For the out-of-the-state UH teams competing, Detroit's The Truth fared the best, losing to the Titans in the semi-finals.
