NEVER RETIRE: UH legend Luke Witt returns to Ultimate Hoops
Witt in 2008 after winning the Minnesota State Championship for Ultimate Hoops
UH historians gave a collective cheer this month when Luke Witt made his return to Ultimate Hoops.
Over four years since his last UH game, Witt has joined Old Men Can't Jump this season in the UH Target Corporate League at the Minneapolis Life Time Athletic club.
Witt is arguably a Top 10 player in Ultimate Hoops history and a sure bet to be a first ballot UH Hall of Famer. Witt won five championships during his 10-season UH career, his last in Spring Season 2009 as a member of the Kings. Witt's career averages are staggering: 30.0 ppg, 12.0 rpg and 3.0 ast.
Despite a being a fan favorite and perennial All-Star player, Witt did have one main critic: Joe Neuenfeldt. Over the years, Neuenfeldt has blasted Witt for his constant "chatter" with officials during games.
Watch a post-game interview with Witt from our 2007 video archives.
