Short-Handed Celtics fall big to Redemption 99-65 | Celtics' Willis part of eligibilty scandal?

Fridley, MN- The #1 Power-Ranked Recreational team in the nation could only field a 4-player team on Thursday night [March Madness/St. Patty Fever?] and they paid for it, getting trounced by Redemption 99-65.

But the loss on Thursday night could be the least of the Celtics' worries. (Oh, the irony of it happening on St. Patrick's Day for the Celtics)

As the Winter Season "March Madness" Recreational Tournament selection process starts next week, the Celtics are embattled in a potential eligibility violation with rookie forward Rayshawn Willis.

Late Thursday night, Plymouth League Recreational player Daniel Ocama - guard on the 2-5 Six Five Won team- blew the lid off a potential eligibility scandal in involving 5-2 Team Luke star forward Michael Braun. Ocama claims in his explosive uhlife.com board post that Braun played Division III basketball, thus making him ineligible to participate in the Recreational Division per the league rules.

Then, as the comments section began to fill at record speed on Ocama's post, it was exposed that the Celtics' Willis may also be ineligible to participate in the Recreational Division. A box score of a 2007 MCTC [a community college in Minneapolis] game was uncovered that had Willis listed in the box score.

What could be the potential outcome of this potential evidence? This could be the first major issue the newly formed Minnesota Players Committee will need to address in unison with league office officials.
