DETROIT: Shelby's Saturday morning Veterans Division a big hit for 35 and over players
The Magic in action last Saturday
Detroit, MI- Tipping-off an Ultimate Hoops game at 9am on Saturday morning may not be ideal for most 20-something-year-old UH players who enjoy their Ultimate Hoops celebrity late into the night on Fridays.
But for the 35 and over players in the Ultimate Hoops Shelby Veteran's Division in Detroit with wives and kids, a cup of coffee and a UH game is a great way to start their weekends.
So far this season, team Miami is a perfect 5-0. John Anderson has been their offensive spark plug, averaging 25.4 ppg this season.
Bulls' Dequan Wilson is leading the league with a 34.8 scoring average. Wilson's teammate Marcus Norwood is leading the league in rebounding with 10.3 per game.
The teams are back in action Saturday, March 5 at the Shelby Township Life Time Fitness. Ultimate Hoops hopes to launch more Veteran Divisions across the country in 2011.
