SCOTTSDALE: Cinderella run halted | PHX Ballers v Pink Canoes in Championship

Championship prospects did not look good for the underdog Happy Feat in the Scottsdale Ultimate Hoops Semi-final, as they were down 38 to 50, to a team they had beat 82-76. Jon Scott said hop on boys and carried Happy Feat on his back to outscore PHX Ballers 20-8 and knot it up with 10 minutes to go. Scott stuffed the stat sheet with 23 points, 11 rebounds, 3 blocks, 3 assists and 3 steals, but it would not be enough to claim a spot in the title game.

The Phoenix Ballas showed no rust from the week off, with all starters in double digits, PHX winning the assist stat line by ten, and doubling up on rebounds. It was just too much for Happy Feat to overcome.

Tyrone Jones had a game high 27 points and added 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Kevin Mayfield had a game high of 17 rebounds, along with 12 points and 7 assists for PHX Ballers.

PHX Ballers look to avenge two earlier season losses to the Pink Canoes in the championship game. Pink Canoes feel confident that history will repeat itself and they will walk away with the league title.
