MINNESOTA REC: Draft Tourney Jan. 7th and 8th

In my Ultimate Hoops career, some of my favorite experiences have been the UH Draft Tournaments. These tournaments give players a chance to play with new teammates and compete against new combinations. UH wants to begin holding draft tournaments every quarter, and we're kicking things off on January 7th and 8th in Bloomington South.

There will be 8 teams and the draft will take place at Hubert's on Thursday, December 29th.

The first day of the tournament, Saturday, January 7th, will be a Round Robin format. The second day of the tournament will be a single-elimination tournament to decide the winner. Every team will be guaranteed at least 4 games.

Sign-ups will begin today for both players and GMs. Registration is $30.

Draft is limited to rec eligible players.

For prospective GMs: If you would like to participate as a GM and draft your own team, e-mail me at TAllen@Lifetimefitness.com.

It will be first come, first served, but if you were selected as an All-Star in Fall 2011 (either by voting or as a reserve), you cannot serve a GM. This is to ensure competitive balance for all of the teams. Also, only sign up as a GM if you know you can be present for the draft on the 29th.
