MISSISSAUGA, ON: Game Notebook Week 7 | The climb out the gutter
Ultimate Hoops Mississauga currently has a tie for the last place spot in the league. This is a bad place to be with the upcoming playoffs having to play a stronger team. Gains, Team Havoc and Renegades are all trying to get out lets see which one will end up being the last seed.
Game 1 Gains vs Renegades
Game 2 Team Havoc vs ALLDAY
Game 3 Force vs Spartans
Game 1
Renegades didn't have their star player this week Jeremy Alleyne, but that didn't stop them from coming out and strong and playing very competitive. This game could've went either way.
Mark Burkett and Elvis Hermiz played well this game. Mark had 15 points and 5 rebounds and Elvis had 13 points, 8 rebounds and 4 steals. Renegades were hustling this game they out stoled Gains 15 to 7 and a lot less turnovers, but Gains had a lot more rebounds which gave them a lot more opportunities then Renegades.
Kareem Toney went off this game shooting 70% from the field, dropping 33 points and grabbing in 13 rebounds and a couple steals. Mustafa Manzoor and Shane Carty both had 10 points each. Gains out rebounded Renegades 41 - 24. Looks like gains with have good momentum going into the last week before the playoffs which would place them in a good spot. Gains beat Renegades 65 - 55.
Game 2
The recently strengthened Team Havoc have been showing promise the 2nd half of the season. This game they faced up against the strongest team in the league ALL DAY.
ALL DAY continues to play great team ball. They have great IQ execution and they rarely get frustrated with each other. Manuel Mendez and Nathan Carter played great as usual scoring 14 and 16 points respectively. Omar Naeem really stepped it up this game. He had a double double with 17 points and 12 rebounds. He also brought a lot of energy to the team hyping his guys up and giving a lot of support.
Team Havoc's Ahmed Haroon always brings his A game ad this game even he was MVP of both teams. He dropped 36 points and got 10 defensive rebounds. He plays with great proud and tries his best to coach his team as well. Ashur Gul also contributes with his shooting ability bring his back from wide gaps in the score. He had 13 points. Team Havoc played great but it wasn't enough to beat ALL DAY. ALL DAY wins 71 - 63.
Game 3
Both Spartans and Force have been really close in securing that 2nd place seed in ready of the playoffs. This was a very intense and competitive game.
Force's didn't play as good as team ball as they usually do. The did have a couple plays and supported each other but lacked actual execucation with assists. They only had 3 assists for the game which is very unusual for them. Daneil Deflorimante did his things as always scoring 24 points and had 5 rebounds and Paul Boychuk did a good job being effienct in the paint scoring 12 and getting 12 rebounds. They started to lose their momentum in the 4th quarter which Spartans took advantage of.
Spartans really brought it this game. Four players make it in the double digits. Naji Mejalli, Samantha Minicucci, Jordan Nazarene and Youssef Daif all played really well and were connecting on most of their shots. Samantha scored 13 and was lethal from the permiter, Naji scored 19 points and 6 assits. Jordan had the most point scoring 22 points and getting 9 rebounds and Youssef scored 14 points 15 rebounds and 4 assists. These guys are very efficient and can't wait to see them in the playoffs. Spartans beat Force 68 - 55.
