COMMERCE OPEN: Predictions | New kids on the block Ill Life La Familia on a mission

Justin Dabish going past Ryan Matthews for the two points.

Half-way through the season and things are starting to get exciting. Dat Ain't Fair doesn't look the same, C4 got another star guard but lost last week, and Julius Barnett's new team is still undefeated. Lets see what happens tonight.

7:00 p.m. – # 2 Hit Squad (2-1) vs. #5 Runnin' Rebels (0-3)

GM Devante Pennyman has found some magic in his new roster and showed it off in a big win over previously ranked #1 C4. Big man Rocko Holmes has proven to be un-guardable in the post averaging a robust 29.3 ppg and 14.3 rpg. The Rebels are going to need Maurice Abraham to show up and show up big if they have any chance of stopping the inside-outside game of Hit Squad. This doesn’t look the like week that the Rebels pick up their first W.

8:00 p.m. – #6 Sons of Basketball (1-2) vs. #4 Dat Ain't Fair (1-2)

Sons doesn’t have enough offensive weapons to run up and down with DAF, but they could make a game of it if they slow it down and play through big men Joel Simpson and Daniel Enright. I foresee the athletic guards and wings of Dat Ain't Fair to push tempo and prove to be too much of an offensive force for Sons to hang with. Darryl Foster and McKinsey Golfin combine for 50 in the win.
Dat Ain't Fair 90 – Sons of Basketball 78

9:00 p.m. – #1 Ill Life La Familia (3-0) vs. #3 C4 (2-1)

The game of the night has the new #1 ranked team vs. the old #1 ranked team. Word on the street is that C4 will have all of their big 3 for this game (Brandon Nafso, Justin Dabish, Jeff Jayson) making them the favorite despite having one loss. C4 will have to control athletic big Chris Dierker in the post to pull out the victory. GM Joseph Kassis presence will be missed in the paint today. Let’s see if C4 can pull it off.
