MISSISSAUGA, ON: Game Notebook Week 2 | ALL DAY long
Another week at the newly launched Ultimate Hoops Toronto in Mississauga and it looks all teams that lost last week came back strong to win their game this week except one very strong team. ALL DAY.
Game 1: Gains vs Renegades
Game 2: Team Havoc vs ALL DAY
Game 3: The Force vs The Spartans
Game 1
Game 1 was a real bar fight. The Gains planned to come out strong like they usually do and secure a win and the Renegades just coming off a lose in week 1 had a lot to prove in this one. The Gain's Kareem Toney and Mustafa Manzoor really balled out this game scoring 21 points each putting 42 points on the board with them too alone. One of their sharpshooters Mohammed Sayeed got injured which hurt them this game only getting 12 points from him. Mr. Effiecient AKA Jeremy Alleyne brought out the talent this game finishing with 26 points and 21 rebounds with 6 assists. His great performance also helped his teammate to contribute as well such as Elvis Hermiz dropping 13 and Mark Burkett scoring 10 points. Renegade take the game over Gains 73 - 67.
Game 2
The Powerhouse ALLDAY showed what they are all about again this week with a solid game against Team Havoc. Team Havoc has their consistent contributors Omar Talaat, Ashar Gul and Osama Afzal. who had 18, 14 and 14 respectively but they need to step it up more if they want to bang with the stronger teams of this league. ALL DAY's Manuel Mendez went off scoring 34 points which really helped his team create a gap in the score. With Omar Naeem, Nathan Carter and Travis Francis also scoring in the double digits, its kind of hard to stay in the game. Team Havoc has a new pick up player for Week 3 we'll see how it goes. ALL DAY defeat Team Havoc 84-60.
Game 3
The unexpected happened in this last game. Last week's losing team Force went up against last week's highest scoring team Spartans. It was clear that the Spartans were the favorite in this game, but the Force wasn't having it. Spartans continued with their smooth and fast transition play style. Jordan Nazarene played great this game scoring 24 points going strong to the basket with the help of Naji Mejalli scoring 12 points and 4 assists. The Force had someone that stood out from the rest however, Daniel Deflorimante. Daniel did what he always does controlling the game and scoring almost at will. He finished with a double double of 30 points and 10 rebounds which is great for a PG. Force beat The Spartans in a close one. 59 - 57.
