ATLANTA, GA: Preview Week 6 | Mumford Returns looking to dominate

Free Agents vs. Team Follies/ Late Starters 7pm

The Free Agents are coming off an embarrassing 55 point lost last week and look to bounce back from getting run out the gym. To make matters worse David “This Is My League” Votta guaranteed that his team will win by at least 20 points. Brian “I Love This Game” Richardson and Mike “Cool & Collective” Turner have a lot of pride and I feel will take this personal. The Free Agents need to have the same game plan they did in week 4 when they beat Known Shooters. They played solid defense and force their opponents to only one shot. Not to mention they shot 53% from the field and play physical basketball for 44 minutes. If all 5 starters for Free Agents gets into double figures then I expect them to win. Team basketball is the key to wins and loses. For Team Follies/ Late Starters they received a reality check from last weeks lost against Gawd Squad and look to get back to their winning ways. Doug “I Am Detroit” Rhodes looks to have a better game then last week performance where he only had 4 attempts which is uncharacteristic. Rumor has it that Team Follies/ Late Starters are moving away from team ball and playing hero ball.

Enough Said vs Mumford Returns 8pm

This is my “Extra Salty Popcorn” game of the night. Mumford Returns has been taking the league by storm and looks to take down the defending champs Enough Said. Numbers do not lie and Chris “I Get Buckets” Anderson is leading the league in scoring with averaging 32.8 PPG. Roll player Bryan “Public Enemy #1” Gates was once a super star of this league but now has to take a back seat for once. Anderson is the go to guy for this team and they will rise or fall through him. He directs the team and causes defensive matchup problems. Rumor has it that Enough Said will have their entire focus on Anderson and make Gates try to beat them. This maybe the correct game plan as Anderson has dominated any team that he as faced. Enough Said will have a dent in their armor tonight as they will be without super star Marcus "I'm A Father" Brown who just had his daughter born into the world. Anthony "StreetBall Legend" Brown stated, “I wonder how long will BG remain second fiddle to Chris Anderson?” Well we will see tonight.

Gawd Squad vs Known Shooters 9pm

Defense, defense, defense is the only way for Known Shooters to get this win vs. Gawd Squad. Gawd Squad looks to be gelling together at the right time of the season. If Frankie Ghouchani shoots another 88% from the arch like he did in last weeks win then Known Shooters will have a very long night. Gawd Squad as a team shot 52% from downtown last week and created havoc all night. I look for Kevin Willis Jr. to dominate this game as he is coming off a 31 point game last week. If Known Shooters get Ashley “200K” Olinger more involved then they can get their first win of the season. Ashley Olinger is leading his team in scoring as well as trash talking. I expect Travis “Mr. 3am” Nelson to get his teammates more involved in the offense and direct this team to a much needed win. For Nelson he will have a tough assignment in guarding Ghouchani but I expect him to step up to the challenge.
