WESTMINSTER, CO: Week 5 Preview | The second half of the story

The second half of the summer season in Ultimate Hoops Westminster kicks off on Tuesday night. The league is wide open and questions look to get answered.

Scorgasm vs. The Bad Boys

After 4 weeks, only two undefeated team remain, and not much of a surprise to the rest of the league, one of them is Scorgasm. They will be looking to get back on track against a struggling Bad Boys team. The Bad Boys started off the season strong but since then have struggled to find a rhythm as of late. Scorgasm will surely be the favorite heading into this matchup, so it will be on the Bad Boys to up the intensity and really make a game of this. This game should be fairly low scoring and will likely be a battle of big men down low for both teams.

Long Shots vs. Bro Science Life

This has the potential to be the game of the night with two very good teams going at it in this matchup. Bro Science Life is on a losing streak but is far better than how they have been playing. The Long Shots started out rocky but have since been playing some of the best basketball we have seen them play in seasons. This should be a high scoring game with a fast tempo on both ends of the court. Long Shots are the younger and more athletic team, while Bro Science Life are the more experienced team. Its a classic battle of youth vs experience, and will surely make for a great game on Tuesday.

Slam Drunk vs. Splash City

After a 40 point victory last week, Splash City is heading into this matchup with a lot of confidence. Slam Drunk is still struggling and is still trying to find their identity as a team. Splash City is the favorites in this matchup but Slam Drunk always finds a way to make games close down the stretch. If they can keep the score relatively low and get stops on the defensive end of the court then the game could be stolen later on. This game could get ugly quick if Splash City is hitting their shot like they did last week.

Young Bucks vs. The Gladiators

Young Bucks are really struggling so far this season and the Gladiators will look to capitalize on that to help get their season turned around as well. The Gladiators were able to add Phillp Greene who is one of the leagues best players and last week with him on the court they seemed like a whole different team. Expect the Gladiators to push the pace against Young Bucks, and to try to get them frustrated early. If the Young Bucks want to win a game this season, this could be one of their last chances against a team that has struggled so far this season.

The Kardashians vs. Life Time Legends

The Kardashians are riding high on a three game win streak and will look to continue that streak against The Life Time Legends. The Legends have been impressive this season so far but seem to lack the fire power to compete with a team like the Kardashians. The Kardashians will be the favorites this week and barring something crazy happening, they should come out with the win.
