ATLANTA, GA: Week 3 Preview | Can Team Follies get a win this season?
Andre Carter doing all that he can to get a win.
Can Andre Carter lead Team Follies to there first win of the season? At the start of the season Team Follies looked to take the league by storm, but so far they seem to lack the team chemistry that they desperately need to win games.
Known Shooters vs. Team Follies/ Late Starters 7pm
Andre Carter will be the difference maker, and I expect a big game out of him. He causes defensive match up problems because of his size and crafty moves. In order for Team Follies/Late Starters to get this win, they will have to share the basketball and not worry about individual stats. If this team just goes back to the basics and lets the game come to them, they will get a much needed win. Known Shooters look good on paper, but the game is played on the court. Can they bring the pieces together to solidify themselves in the league?
Prediction: Team Follies/ Late Starters 1pt
Enough Said vs. Free Agents 8pm
Enough Said is looking stronger and stronger week to week. Maybe its the chemistry or the fact that they have won multiple championships. The bullseye is on there back, but I don’t think they would want it any other way. Rumor has it that Enough Said is looking past this game and has their calendar circle on Week 4 against Gawd Squad. The Free Agents put up a fight last week and look to build on that moral loss. Brian Richardson took offense to the fact that his team was predicted to lose by 30 last week. I expect a big production out of Mike Turner as well as Chathan King. In order for Free Agents to win, they will need to slow the game down and double on Anthony Brown.
Prediction: Enough Said by 30
Mumford Returns vs. Gawd Squad 9pm
This is my “Extra Butter Popcorn” game of the night. These two teams have not lost a game yet this season and they are both looking like championship caliber teams. Mumford Returns is getting a major production out of Chris Anderson as well as Bryan “Public Enemy Number 1” Gates. But can this team get any production out of the other players. In order for this team to win they will need a big game out of Ryan Mumford as well as Jon Strauss. Gawd Squad has one of the best guards in the game in Kevin Willis Jr. who is averaging 28 points this season. I am looking forward to the match up between him and Chris Anderson who is averaging 31.5 points this season. Kevin has more weapons on his team and I feel has a better chance to prevail over Chris and Mumford Returns.
Prediction: Toss Up
