WESTMINSTER, CO: Week 4 Preview | A Night of Separation

J Fab talking trophies

The first big night of basketball has arrived in week 4 of the spring season in Westminster. Two undefeated teams square off and the defending champs face their first tough test. Let's take a look at this week's preview.

The Great Unknown vs. Long Shots

What a matchup to start off week 4. Two teams enter undefeated, one team will leave that way. The Great Unknown, led by Chad Smith and TJ Cyriacks have been impressive thus far this season and have seemed to have found their groove again like in leagues past. Long Shots are a young team with lots of athleticism and talent. This should be a very intense and close game which could go down to the wire. The Long Shots can beat you in a variety of ways and that’s what makes them such a scary team. The Great Unknown relies heavily on their two stars and stopping them will be the key to this game. This is going to be one game you won’t want to miss.

Lifetime Legends vs. The Bad Boys

It’s tough for any free agent team to find wins early in the season. The chemistry isn’t there and a lot of factors just add up against them. The Bad Boys on the other hand have no excuse to be winless this season. They are a seasoned team and should be able to get some wins this season. This will be a good game for The Bad Boys to get on track and get some confidence under their belt. The Lifetime legends have improved since the start of the season but still have a long way to go. With a win here though, that could change everything.

Hong Kong Diesel vs. The MonSTARS

Hong Kong Diesel was impressive in their first game of the season last week and will be looking to continue that success into week 4. The MonSTARS however, are a very good team that seem to be in every single game they play in. The MonSTARS are good both inside and out and they seem to have a balance in their playstyle that allows them to be competitive each week. Hong Kong Diesel has a lot of fire power at their disposal but chemistry could be one detriment that could hurt them this season. Expect this to be a close fought game that potentially could be low scoring with the winner succeeding on the defensive end of the floor.

The Kardashians vs. Slam Drunk

With all the Bruce Jenner talk in the back of their minds last week, the Kardashians are coming off a bad loss in week 4. They didn’t play bad, they just didn’t play as well as they are capable of. Slam Drunk is a very good team that is coming off a close week 3 loss. This game is important to both teams and is sure to be a close matchup. Slam Drunk's Gherrick Dixon head off against the Kardashian’s Marquise Scott. This is a classic Shaq vs. Tim Duncan matchup with two of the league’s best big man facing off. This should be an exciting game and one that will be watched by most of the gym that night.

Hard Work vs. The Gladiators

If anyone can dethrown Hard Work, its this Gladiators team. The Gladiators are a rugged team that will beat you up and outscore you at the same time. It will take a team that’s aggressive and not afraid of anyone to beat Hard Work, and The Gladiators fit that mold very well. Everyone knows Hard Work can score the ball, but whats often overlooked is just how good they are on defense. They’re fast, strong and big. It’s hard to score on Hard Work and that’s what really makes them such a good team. This is going to be one tough game which could have a few technical fouls along the way. DO NOT MISS THIS GAME.

IMPACT basketball vs. We Goin Sizzler

Unfortunately for We Goin Sizzler, they have yet to have a celebratory dinner at Sizzler. They are winless on the year and this matchup wont pose well for them. IMPACT basketball’s Jimmie Binnie and Beau Barney have been on fire as of late and when that happens, this team is almost impossible to beat. We expect We Goin Sizzler to put up a good fight, but the star power in IMPACT basketball will prove too much for them to handle.
