WESTMINSTER, CO: Week 3 Power Rankings | The Dirty Dozen

I once caught a fish thiiiiiiiis big

An even dozen teams are now playing in the Westminster Ultimate Hoops Spring League, and we're here to take a look at this week's power rankings.

1. Hard Work (3-0; last week 1): Not a whole lot to say about Hard Work's victory over Life Time Legends this week other than: they won big.

2. The Great Unknown (3-0; last week 2): The Great Unknown won a hard fought battle against the MonSTARS this week. After trailing by one at the half, The Great Unknown came out swinging in the second half. The difference was at the free throw line, where The Great Unknown made 19 free throws compared to the MonSTARS five.

3. Impact Basketball (3-0; last week 3): The margin between the two and three spot in this week's power rankings is razor thin after Impact Basketball's impressive win over The Kardashians, 100-74. Jimmy Binnie led the way for Impact with 35 points and Beau Barney recorded a double-double with 27 points and 13 rebounds.

4. Long Shots (3-0; last week 4): For the first time this season, Long Shots were held to under 100 points in their 91-82 victory over The Bad Boys. Blake Mahler led four players in double figures with 23 points as Long Shots head in to the game of the week next week against The Great Unknown.

5. The Gladiators (2-1; last week 6): The Gladiators have gotten better each and every week this season, and looked great in their 95-80 victory over We Goin Sizzler on Tuesday night. UH newcomer Grant Pachner dropped 31 points in the win, including seven of nine from downtown.

6. Hong Kong Diesel (1-0; last week N/R): Hong Kong Diesel made their Westminster debut this week, taking down Slam Drunk 91-85. Hong Kong Diesel had four guys in double figures, led by Eli Ziegler who had 31 points to go along with his ten rebounds.

7. The Kardashians (2-2; last week 5): The Kardashians shot the ball well, won the rebound battle and dished out plenty of assists, but the difference in this game was taking care of the basketball, and The Kardashians didn't. They turned the ball over 11 more times than Impact Basketball, and that led to the double digit loss.

8. MonSTARS (1-3; last week 7): The MonSTARS gave The Great Unknown all they could handle, but in the end, ran out of gas and lost the game 74-66. MonSTARS are another team that has improved each week and look to build on that against Hong Kong Diesel next week.

9. Slam Drunk (0-3; last week 8): Slam Drunk was put in a very tough spot this week. They were facing a team that hasn't played a game yet, that no one knew anything about, and they were still in the game at the end. Slam Drunk squares off against The Kardashians next week in what should be a very good matchup.

10. The Bad Boys (0-3; last week 9): I feel like The Bad Boys are on the verge of reeling off a solid winning streak. They have the pieces, they just need to learn how to put it together. It's too bad Gregg Popovich is a little busy right now, because he could help this team.

11. We Goin Sizzler (0-3; last week 10): Who knows what's wrong with We Goin Sizzler. It doesn't help when you're facing a tough squad and you only have five guys at the game. It doesn't get any easier for Sizzler, as they face Impact Basketball next week.

12. Life Time Legends (0-3; last week 11): The schedule maker (me) didn't do any favors for this free agent team, putting them up against a team that hasn't lost in 2015. After a very tough game, the Life Time Legends look to bounce back against The Bad Boys in Week 4.
