WOODSTOCK/MOUNTAIN BROOK, GA: Week 2 Preview | Potential Championship Preview in Week 2

Prince Kearney is a great new addition to the defending champs.

With the second week here, the Woodstock league looks pretty competitive this spring. A few teams stand out amongst the others as my favorites to possibly win the spring Championship. Yes, I said it early! The Other Guys looks like the team to beat in this league. Austin Cheatem had the best game of his Ultimate Hoops career with 30+ points last week, but it's the overall team play that is impressive to me. The Other guys are a well balanced team and have added some new players that fit in well.

The other early contender looks to be the defending champions, No More Losses. With the pick up of Mike Hattub, they gain much needed speed and athleticism after losing Kevin Willis. David Votta began the season shooting well and Doug Rhodes is at his usual pace.

Other Guys Vs. No More Losses 7PM

The two best teams go head to head tonight at 7 pm, and it could determine who will be the top seed in the league. No More Losses will have to find an answer for Cheatum. He plays strong inside and is coming off one of his best games. The Other Guys play well together, and everyone understands their role. We will have to see if they can keep this going tonight against a team coming off their first Woodstock championship.

South Beach Bombers Vs. Roswell Ballers 8PM

After losing in the Championship last season, the South Beach Bombers started off their season with a loss. Sonny Givens missed last week's game, which could have played a key part in that loss. The Roswell Ballers are a new team that needs work on chemistry, but they have the potential to be a threat in the league. Hopefully the Roswell Ballers leader, Carlos Carthen, can show up and produce. They will need him tonight if they want to pull out the win.

Skyforce Vs. Hammers 9PM

With the return of Taylor Patterson, the Hammers are a much better team. Losing lately seems to be the norm for the Hammers, but don't count them out just yet. Skyforce came to the opening game last week with a new look, and they are still trying to add a couple new players. William Bristow will have to get production for his bigs tonight if they expect to beat the Hammers. This should be a very closely fought game.

Skyforce by 6 in OT.
